Philip draws on extensive experience to lead ESG engagements with board directors of portfolio companies to encourage positive change. He also oversees the firm’s proxy voting, stewardship activities and policy development in the EMEA region. Before joining NTAM, Philip was vice president and global lead of asset stewardship reporting at State Street Global Advisors, where he led high-profile corporate ESG engagements. He was also responsible for thought leadership and heading the firm’s stewardship reporting function. Prior to this position at State Street Global Advisors, he worked as a corporate governance manager at Fidelity International. Throughout his career, Philip has served as a member of the UK Investment Association’s Sustainability and Responsible Investment Committee and the Investment Leaders Group at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. He is a regular writer on ESG issues and speaks frequently at industry conferences. Philip earned a master’s degree in corporate strategy and governance from the University of Nottingham Business School and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Manchester Metropolitan University. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate and has completed Level I of the CFA Program.
