Caroline is a Senior Investment Manager and leads Railpen’s stewardship work globally. She was previously in charge of the investment, stewardship and collective engagement programme at the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA). Prior to this, she was Head of Public Policy at the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF). She is Chair of the Investor Coalition for Equal Votes (ICEV) and Vice-Chair of the Global International Governance Network (GIGN) as well as a fully accredited professional trustee at the Standard Life Master Trust. She has won various industry awards, including as Women in Pensions and also Rising Star Awards “Investment Manager of the Year 2022”, Investment Week’s “Investment Woman of the Year 2019” and was picked as one of Financial News’ 2020 “Top 25 Rising Stars of Asset Management in Europe”. In her spare time, she chairs NextGen, an industry organisation which seeks to boost cognitive diversity in the pensions sector, and is a Board Director of the Social Market Foundation (SMF), a cross-party think-tank.
